Network for Universal Services and Rural Advancement is a   non-government, non-profit humanitarian development organization dedicated to contribute in poverty alleviation, education, literacy, training, health services, rehabilitation, agriculture and rural development, preservation and development of environmental issues, social development and behavioral changes in the community, research and publication.

Started its journey in the year of 1995,  NGO has been implementing a number of development programs including Agriculture, poultry, fisheries, poverty alleviation, health, education, women and children development, disability rehabilitation, environment and afforestation, aboriginal development, disaster preparedness & management, relief and rehabilitation, social awareness, advocacy, development of human capacity and skills aiming to reduce vulnerability of the disadvantaged people under the technical and financial support of national and international development agencies and from individuals.

NGO dreams for a society where every individual will be able to live in an atmosphere of peace and harmony, free from exploitation, oppression and starvation; where every individual will get equal and rightful shares to the resources belongs to the society. It believes that the active and critical participation of the non-privileged section of the society can ensure the sustained developmental efforts in the rural areas.

The organization has its permanent office in Dhaka and also operated its field offices strategically located in different areas of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, Barisal, Khulna and Chittagong divisions. The organization employed more than 260 regular staff members and has more than 55 temporary staff members who are well qualified, experienced and dedicated to their responsibilities.


The organization is providing health care services through its own hospital established in the year of 2005 at Madhobpur upazila of Habiganj district. The hospital is well equipped with modern facilities of treatment which is managing by specialist doctor and trained health practitioners.

NGO strongly believes in active participation of community people target population concept for its basic development efforts in which the focus is the destitute and disadvantaged poor with emphasis on children and women. The organization follows regular monitoring, feedback, sharing experiences and immediate action for the successful implementation of the projects/programs. It is dedicated to foster qualitative and quantitative improvement in the living standard of the target beneficiaries.

The organization adopted the policy to work in that area where the people are comparatively more vulnerable. Its programs specially targeted to render its support to remove social injustice and bring a society free from discrimination.

Aims and Objectives

With the overall objective of harmonious development NGO especially aims at achieving the following aims & objectives.

  • To improve economic status of the destitute of the society through income generating activities and to ensure participation of the poor in such activities or programs so that they may be able to stand on their own feet.

  • To provide assistance for generating income and /or employment opportunities for the landless and the asset less for alleviating poverty, in various forms and manners, human rights, social justice and socio- economic including financial, institutional, advisory and training.

  • To develop the saving habit of the group members and to form own capital through their savings gradually so that they can be self reliant and self-sufficient.

  • To motivate the different cross section of the society and to come forward to address the problem of illiteracy i.e. to remove the illiteracy from the society.

  • To improve basic health awareness and general health condition of the poor through motivational program and training, supply of pure drinking water, sanitation facilities, and primary heath care and to rehabilitate the physically and mentally retarded people.

  • To initiate, undertake and promote research activities directed towards poverty alleviation and employment generation, to organize seminars, workshops, and conferences and to undertake publication of reports, books etc. in furtherance of the objectives of NGO.
